Accruit Executive Vice President Max Hansen and Associate General Counsel Jordan Born are in Washington, DC for the Federation of Exchange Accommodators’ mid-year meeting. On March 12, they will participate in educational sessions on topics surrounding taxes and opportunity zones. On March 13, FEA members will visit Capitol Hill to discuss the importance of 1031 exchanges with members of Congress and their staff.

Accruit Executive Vice President Max Hansen is program co-chair of this fourth annual seminar designed to provide insight into those issues most commonly faced when buying and selling ranches in Montana.
This seminar and its carefully selected faculty is designed to provide insight into issues most commonly faced when purchasing agricultural assets in Montana, including: public access, environmental issues, water rights, due diligence problems, financing, and succession planning.  Anyone involved in the buying and selling of agricultural properties in Montana would be well served to attend and catch up on the latest in buying “a piece of heaven.”

ATG Trust  Company and ATG Legal Education present Accruit Associate General Counsel Jordan Born in a program on the deferral of capital gains taxes using 1031 like-kind exchanges.The seminar is part of an ongoing series that provides trust and estate planning attorneys with the knowledge and skills to help them better serve their clients,
Born’s presentation, which takes place on Wednesday, February 13, will educate attorneys on the rules and regulations governing a properly structured 1031 exchange for investor clients wishing to defer capital gains taxes on the sale of real estate.  Born has worked primarily in real estate law since 2006. In 2011, he started his own practice where he advised and represented individuals, business entities, lenders, borrowers, landlords and tenants in all matters related to commercial and residential real estate. He joined Accruit in 2018.
